Linking up with Quilt Schmilt
Thanks to Carol for hosting this year. And a Happy New Year to all with lots of fun quilting.
Plans Last Week included.
- Finish Chilhowie blocks #5 and see what the next clue is on Saturday. I completed clue #5 and now we have moved to #6 which calls for adding a round to clue 5.
- Sew the Designer Mystery BOM block 6 together, pieces are cut out, ready. Done
- The next Sewcialites block will post on Friday, so I’ll do that I hope. Done. This was an easy block and so it didn’t take long to get the three blocks in the different fabrics done.
There are other things I could easily do, like tidying and sorting. Finishing off another top with borders.. I shall see. I did a tiny little bit of fabric tidying and did get the borders sewn on my A Quilting Life BOM
For the Week 3rd January
- continue to work on the Chilhowie Bonnie Hunter blocks.
- The next Sewcialites block later in the week.
- Complete doing the hand binding on my Magnolia quilt.
Hi Kathryn! Oh, I can’t wait to see Magnolia all complete with its spiffy binding. Good luck keeping up with the two QALs and your list this week. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Happy New Year Kathryn. So nice to see all of your beautiful blocks. I’m impressed that you are keeping up with not one, but two QAL’s. (I always get behind and have to play catch up). I’m looking forward to seeing your Magnolia Quilt. Thank you for linking up with To Do Tuesday. 😉

Carol my change up for this year is to turn a blind eye to as many QAL’s as I can!!

Judy the colours were given to us by Bonnie Hunter but I swapped the aqua for green as I have very little aqua. It’s all very bright but we shall see!

Your Chilhowie block is beautiful, Kathryn – I really love the purple floral! It will be fun to see how those blocks come together.

All the blocks are awesome. I am saving the B Hunter info, not sure what fabrics I want to use yet. Loe yours!

Very wise. I’d make some different choices if I were starting over. Like for one keeping my background more cohesive. But its scrappy, next time I am doing a scrap quilt I am going to think about one single background.
