Linking Up with Quilt Schmilt
Plans for Last Week.
- Pin and start quilting the BOM with Jacquelynne Steves from ’21. It is a smaller quilt so will be easier to move around. To finish this is also going to be my OMG for February.
This is coming along nicely, I have completed the quilting part.
- Make Sewcialite block for the coming week when it posts on Friday. Done Pattern by Minki Kim. Block 15
The six inch version and I am using Nantucket Summer fabric by Camille Roskelley, the scraps left over from the Mystery BOM below.
And the 3 ” version.
- Make Designer Mystery BOM ’22/’23 block from FQS. Done
- Anything else that makes itself known to me. One block done for the Irish Double Chain quilt I am making with Corey Yoder’s scrap along. I also made the six inch version of Sherri’s A Quilting Life. BOM. I am using scraps and will turn it into a boy’s quilt.
Plans for the Coming Week
- Make binding for BOM quilt by J Steves and sew the machine part on.
- Make Block 16 of Sewcialites sew along when it publishes.
- Sew the blocks together of the blue and yellow blocks from sewcialites – made 12 in this combination as want to make NICU quilt top with them.
- Anything that might come along, like maybe another block with the Scrappy Irish Double Chain.
fun new blocks

I so enjoy seeing all your BOM and Mystery blocks! Love the fabric choices in that last block! It will be a great boy quilt! Sometimes that is a difficult task.

Making boy quilts can sure be challenging, not so much cute fabric!

Your blocks are looking great! I love the number fabric and the astronauts in the boy’s quilt block. Those are fun!

Thanks Diann, the astronauts fabric is left over scraps from a boys quilt I made ages ago – time to use it all up!

You are doing a great job of keeping up with all of these blocks. Hopefully I’ll get my goals done this week — at least better than last week!

Some weeks are better than others for quilting, depends on what’s going on!

I’m so impressed that you have so much going on. I am the kind of quilter who likes to focus on one thing at a time! The only time that changes is when my sister and I work on a quilt together.

Sometimes I think I’d love to just work on one quilt at a time but then… I get side tracked!!

Nicely done this week! You really got some things checked off. I am fascinated by the start pinwheel block with the astronauts.
